The hotel Bellier already existed in the 19th Century.

Around 1900, the hotel is owned by Augustine Bellier and is located in the main square of the village.

She is assisted by his son, Henri Bellier.

After getting married, Henri and Renée build another hotel on the current location.

This one is a luxury hotel offering quality service, thirty rooms and a hundred place restaurant.

Around 1932, they open a moutain refuge on the Plateau de Beurre that can accommodate 100 persons to sleep or to eat.

People come by foot to ski, while the food is brought using dogselds.

Both hotels and the refuge are burnt during the Second World War.

During the reconstruction after the war, Henri and Renée choose to rebuild a small hotel in La Chapelle and a larger one in Val d'Isère where the ski resort starts to grow.

Both hotels are run by Edmond and Paulette Bellier until 1994.
They open the one in Val d'Isère in Winter and the one in La Chapelle in Summer.

Since that date, two of their daughters keep running the hotels in the family tradition:
